Kristi J. Murray joined The Pope Firm in January 2010, where her primary focus is assisting individuals and small businesses in filing for relief under Chapters 7 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Kristi is a southwest Virginia native, raised in Meadowview, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication, with a Concentration in Public Relations, from Radford University in 2004. Kristi attended the Appalachian School of Law, graduating with honors in 2007. During law school, she was on the executive board of the law review and was a member of ASL’s moot court team, competing in national competitions both in Wisconsin and New York. Kristi was also named champion of the Intraschool Moot Court Competition during her third year, receiving the highest scores for both written brief and oral argument. After graduation, she joined the firm of Elliott, Lawson and Minor, P.C. in Bristol, Virginia and later became an associate at Clark & Washington, P.C. in Chattanooga, Tennessee where her practice focused on consumer bankruptcy.
